Welcome and Introduction

After a successful iweekend season at IIM Bangalore, iweekend reached the national capital, and Amity University proved to be a Mecca for all aspiring entrepreneurs of the Delhi-National Capital Region. The participants included established entrepreneurs as well as budding entrepreneur across India. The day started with a speed networking in which all the 50 participant interacted with each other within in an hour. After the speed networking session participant were asked to log in to the iWeekend portal and register their ideas online. After which the best 13 were selected. These 13 selected ideas were then presented during the elevator pitch session which was followed by online voting. The best 7were again selected based on the votes .Then in Round II of elevator pitch the entrepreneur gave a detailed description about his idea which was again voted. Question and answer round followed the elevator’s pitch. Aspiring entrepreneurs were grilled on various aspects of their venture be it the client customer coordination, logistics of implementation, costs and profits scenario etc. so as to ensure the feasibility and viability of the whole idea.

Ideas which came forward were really path breaking and spanned from GSM system vehicle tracking (a technological initiative) to Reach out(a social initiative) to help the underprivileged. Several other ideas like B2b Portal for medical devices, Pleasure hunt, SASS Market, &Multi-storey gift registry Web based property Surveillance were also appreciated.

Based on the final votes the idea of installing GSM based devices in automobiles by Vinay Chaddha and erecting security hub by providing customized web surveillance to industries and residential localities by Vishal made into the finals.50 participants will now brainstorm and will come with a prototype during the next 2 days at iWeekend.
